Reflection 11

Internship gets more and more exciting as the week goes on. I think it’s getting better and happier, because it’s almost over and everyone is making the best of it. It was a beautiful day outside and I was happy to go to internship, the morning went well for me. I started off by bringing in munchkins to all 3 of the administrators that I work with in the office. It was very warm and sunny, and everyone had bright colors on. I sat down and got a lot of my work done, while I drank my iced coffee from Dunkin Dounts. I worked on my SAS work and agenda for today’s class, and I looked through my students journals, and their under construction scrapbooks. I was really impressed with how much work, some students got done. I was upset with how a few students were really behind in their work. Then I did my summer bridge homework as part of the next summer bridge Saturday planning committee. For the past couple of weeks the planning committee has had a lot of meetings and trainings of how to create this summer bridge Saturday. We’ve come up with a lot of good ideas to plan the day, with the help of each other, and also my supervisor Rameka. We actually have a meeting tomorrow, and hopefully after that meeting we’ll be done planning our SB Saturday for May 9th. After leaving the office, I headed to SAS, with the joy to see my students. I wanted to expect to make today’s class fun, but with less talking, and more work. As soon as it was literacy time I would already have their things laid out for them, and they could get straight to work.
