Reflection #5
Today was a great morning; I had already explained to my supervisor that I had an outline of my exhibition presentation and how it would go. She thought it was really good with how it was going, but asked what I was going to do with all the work we worked on thus far. I told her that my teacher still said it was good information and research that I can put in my portfolio anyway. Then her only concern was what I would do for the Wednesdays mornings that I am in the office, because usually that’s what I would be working on, and I told her I wanted to still interview her and ask her some questions, and that I would go from there. Then I took the time to come up with many questions I wanted to ask her, and we went somewhere to have time for her to answer them. We talked about what it took for her to become director to a program like Summer Bridge; we talked about what the program means to her, what it’s about. We talked about the hardest part of her job, what she loves about it, and all kinds of questions like that. We got through many, but unfortunately didn’t have time to get through them all. Even though that’s a good thing, because it’s something we can continue working on for the next time I go to the office. It came time for school after school, and I love how the class session went. We got through the future paragraph, and they successfully did the silent writing time! I was so glad; we talked about so much covered a lot of stuff, did a lot of sharing, and talked about what was going to happen when we come back from vacation, because today was the last day until two weeks of vacation! I explained to them that when we get back I was going to begin taking pictures of them working and of us all together because I was going to use it for a PowerPoint, so that’s something they already know and will be ready for, I’m excited and can’t wait!
